Do you have a corkage Fee?

We welcome our guests to bring their own bottle of wine. There is a $50 corkage fee per bottle with a limit of two 750 ml bottles (or the equivalent) per table. 


Do you have a Corkage Fee for the Private Chef's Table Experience?

For Private Chef’s Table Experience, we kindly do not allow outside wine bottles due to the exclusivity of our event. However, we do offer an exclusive wine list and wine pairings curated by our sommelier and chef to accompany the menu.


Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

To better accommodate your culinary experience, we gently require a 48-hour notice for allergies and dietary restrictions. A full vegan menu is available only upon request.


Are Reservations required?

Our Chefs, Kitchen Staff and Front of the House Staff want to be prepared to offer you an unforgettable dining experience, that’s why we encourage you to make an online reservation at for both our Tasting Menu Experience and Private Chef’s Table Experience.  Although we do accept walk-ins, we might not be able to accommodate specific dietary restrictions without a minimum 48-hour notice.


What are your business hours?

Our hours of operation are the following:

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, last seating at 8:30 pm. 

Friday and Saturday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, last seating at 9:00 pm. 

We are closed on Sunday and Monday (except for certain holidays) 


What if I need to change or cancel my reservation?

All reservations for our Tasting Menu Experience require a deposit which is refundable up to 24 hours in advance (certain holidays might have a larger deposit amount and require cancellation 72 hours in advance). Reservations canceled less than 24 hours in advance or “no-shows” will incur in the loss of the deposit, with no exception, including COVID 19-related circumstances. 


All reservations for our Chef’s Table Experience are pre-paid in full and refundable up to 7 days in advance. Reservations canceled less than 7 days in advance or “no-shows” will incur in the loss of the full amount, with no exception, including COVID 19-related circumstances. 


How long is the experience estimated to last?

Your experience will last approximately 2-3 hours 


What is your Dress Code?

At Ambrogio by Acquerello we do not require a Dress Code. 


Are Children welcome in your Restaurant?

Children are always welcome. However, children of 6+ years of age must participate in the 7-course Tasting Menu Experience/Private Chef’s Table Experience. For children under the age of 6, we are happy to offer one or more “a la carte” dishes from our menus.


Where are you located?

We are located at 7556 Fay Ave, in La Jolla. Our restaurant is across the street from the Pavilion, near The Conrad and The LOT.


What are your parking options?

We currently do not offer guest parking. However, you can easily find street parking near the restaurant.


Do you offer Gift Cards?

Yes. Digital gift cards can be purchased on our website,


What is the capacity of your rooms?

We offer three different ambiences/rooms, plus our Private Chef's Table Room. 

Guests can sit indoor, in our covered front patio, and on the outdoor deck. Each area is heated and can accommodate up to 16 people. If a specific room is requested at the time of your reservation, we will do our best to accommodate, although we cannot guarantee it. 

The Private Chef's Table Experience takes place in front our our kitchen and can be reserved for parties of 2-6 guests. 


Can I reserve the entire Restaurant for a Private Dinner?

Yes. For a wedding reception, social affair, or corporate event, we offer the possibility of exclusive use of the restaurant. Here, we can accommodate your guests and provide the full attention of our entire staff. Our chefs can work with you to create a tasting menu tailored to your specific event.
